Philippe Geladé of Kids4Kids: "It seems too obvious to many people that children and young people can participate in sports or culture"

Philippe Geladé is the founder of Kids4Kids, an organisation that empowers children to set up charitable activities for their peers. In 2023, they partnered with us for several initiatives and we worked together to give children equal opportunities in sports and culture.

"Since my 3 years, I have been bitten by my passion tennis. And since 2017, I have been active as a full-time tennis coach. Currently, I even travel the world with a player on the junior international circuit. By continuously visiting other countries, I am exposed to poverty in different ways. I then also share these experiences with my team, in order to take steps to tackle disadvantaged poverty each time."

Equal sporting and cultural opportunities

"Together with Entrepreneurs For a Warm Belgium, we also really built a warm Belgium, where every child feels at home and has the space to discover his or her talents. After all, children and young people cannot take culture and sport for granted. And that is something many people do not realise. That is why together we organised several initiatives."

Sporting initiatives with a warm impact

"In 2023, we organised a sports day 'Sport4Kids' and a Night Trail 'Move4Kids' and 'Run4Kids' in Hasselt. During the day, as many as 480 pupils from 4 Hasselt schools participated. In the evening, there were even more than 900 children and adults participating in Run4Kids! The proceeds? €15,000! This beautiful amount went directly to SOS Children's Villages and vulnerable families in Hasselt."

"Thanks to this initiative, vulnerable children have the opportunity to participate fully in various cultural activities. Think of school trips, sports memberships, music or art classes. This way, every child gets the chance to grow and flourish within our society."

"We are on the right track, but I think this issue needs to be brought out even more. It seems too obvious to many people that children and young people can participate in sports or culture. We therefore really enjoyed working with Entrepreneurs For a Warm Belgium last year. Everyone involved in this organisation is always ready to help and listen with the aim of supporting projects and taking them to the next level!"
